Recommendations:
It's possible to combine Gokyo and Kala Pattar by crossing the Tsho La Pass, which saves a day. But it's only recommended in good weather conditions. Crampons might be useful, but are not necessary. The Ngozumpa-tse (5553m/Knobby View) above the fifth lake in Gokyo is definitly worth to climb. The views are probably the best in the whole Khumbu region. Plan a day more for the flight out of Lukla. There is a high possibility that your flight might be cancelled.

Trekking equipment can easily hired or bought in Kathmandu (best choice), Pokhara and Namche Bazar. But bring good hiking boots and socks from your country. Of course all brand names like "The North Face" on the equimpent are fakes.

Aeroflot has some of the cheapest flights from Europe to Nepal (with stop in Moscow). A visa for Nepal can easily obtained at Kathmandu Airport (30 $) for most European countries.
